● About

History of Copper Basin Bible Camp and Helping Hands

Copper Basin Bible Camp was founded in 1977 in the mountains above Prescott, Arizona, as a Christian camp associated with the Churches of Christ. Established on approximately 80 acres bordering Prescott National Forest, the camp was created to provide children, teens, and families with a Christ-centered environment focused on Bible study, worship, fellowship, and spiritual growth through outdoor camp experiences.

Over the years, Copper Basin Bible Camp has grown into a year-round ministry serving individuals and churches through summer youth camps, family camps, ladies retreats, men’s retreats, fellowship events, and volunteer opportunities. The camp includes cabins, recreational facilities, hiking areas, outdoor worship spaces, and a large lodge and dining facility added in 2005 to better support campers and retreat guests.

The ministry of Copper Basin Bible Camp has been sustained through the faithful support of churches, volunteers, donors, and organizations such as Helping Hands for Copper Basin Bible Camp. Through fundraising events, scholarships, retreats, volunteer service, and community support, Helping Hands continues to help ensure that future generations can experience the spiritual encouragement, friendships, and lifelong memories that Copper Basin Bible Camp provides.
